Beautiful quilt - Just an idea, but how about the darkest paisley in the sqs. since there is a solid lt. blue border now.
Good luck, be sure & post a pic of the finished product for us to see.

Hi there,
Love your quilt and, drool, fabric.
A gal friend of mine just came back from a 5 day retreat and the big thing now are flanges. Just and 1 &1/2 of fabric folded to "contain" the quilt, then the borders are added. Lay fold toward inside or body of quilt and sew down. This is a $600 tip!
By adding a flange, you can create separation then use the fabrics you have left over or add new fabrics for borders. I had thought flanges would all be darker but just saw a quilt at a show and it had one of the lightest colors in the quilt!

If you could find a drk. blue to compliment your drk blue. I would make a very narrow border of that and then use the paisley (I love that paisley you have used!) for a second border. But that could be because I really really like the paisley! LOL

I Love the Quilt. I keep looking at the colors and I keep leaning toward the darker blue as binding. I am sorry that you cannot find the original fabric. I would take the quilt to your LQS and play around with the same color that you want to use. I've run out of fabric for making matching pillowcases. The original fabric I used was no longer available so the owner of the store found a fabric that was perfect! Hope this helps.

Try quiltshops.com and do an item search if you know the name of the pattern or manufacturer. I live in TX and found the exact fabric I needed at a quilt shop in Vacaville, CA. It was a real "quilt saver". LOL.
