lol... the person sent the Fish fabric and said she wanted a fish shirt...all I could think of was a fishing shirt...later I realized she probably wanted a block with a fish sort of design. I don't know if she has received this yet or not but sure hope she likes it.

Thanks moonwork, I can copy this one, I just got in a hurry to see the whole thing. love it when you girls come up with original ideas, that's were the real fun is. Love your fabric choice, but I need to use Captain America theam fabric.

Thanks all... I have found like like paper piecing because I don't have to cut out so accurately, lol...but there is a lot more cutting and trimming.

So much to try it is fun.

August 23, 2010 – Freedom Star Block #33 – Birthday Star Block

This is the first paper pieced project I have ever tried. It was harder than I thought it would be and I learned you really have to continue past the printed lines in some spots but NOT in others, lol. I was amazed it turned out so well.

I'm in the boomerang 5 swap and I wanted to try it out first before I used someone else's fabric. Several of the others are from quilterscache website.
