My daughter ended up in the ER with the same problem. Two weeks ago I went and buy the Klutz glove at Joannes and I have been using it. You may want to think of getting one for yourself. Hope your finger heals soon.

What is a cutting glove and where are they sold? Thanks.

When I watch Fons and Porter quilt show I think having to put that glove on every time they cut is such a hassle, but maybe in the long run it's worth it. I just barely nicked my finger the other day (no blood) and thought, you know I could really take a chunk out of there if I'm not careful. Maybe I need to pick up a glove too. Hope you heal quickly!

So sorry for your accident. Those cutters can be fierce! Hoping for quick recovery.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that is one major ouchie! I did a little slice, but I will forever be vigilant now... a gentle hug for healing.

Please get one of the big handles - cheap at Harbor Freight-for putting on top of your ruler. I am always afraid of that so I got one. You have already learned not to cut when tired. Hope it heals quickly.

I did nearly the same thing a few months ago. I managed to stop short of cutting it off (just a little piece of skin holding it on). Trip to the ER as well, they couldn't get it to stop bleeding either so put a turnicate on it to work on it. They ended up gluing it. I didn't know glue was so expensive! That little trip cost $812.00! Healed well, but still feels a little funny. I'm more careful now!
