Cat and Quilters
#31
I have thought the same thing. Then I see a happy pooch as an avatar. I think we just like their warm companionship as we work alone in our little quilting world. They seem to be able to enter it so easily.
My cat is great at removing pins for me, warming cold fabric and rearranging my pieces to form new patterns. Just love her help!

I've had as many as four cats and a dog at the same time. Now down to two and I think that will keep me for a while. Mine don't seem to 'play' with my quilting things but bring out the scrapbooking and they are in the middle. Maybe they don't bother the quilting because I don't sit still much. At any rate, I would miss them if they weren't around.

I could never be with out critters I have 2 big cats and 2 little dogs and they are all my little helpers Moms house seemed to be where people 'Dropped off' their unwanted pets There were 6 kids and 2 adults and the numbers had gotten up to 12 critters per person Mom got a part time job to offset the food bill And they all had names- None were ever turned away. My Dad built Cat houses with a lite bulb in them for keeping them warm So I have critter fur in my blood :) and wouldn't have it any other way

When I am at home, my cat is where ever I am. She nags me to go out into the sewing room. She has two spots where she curls up. She is a great companion except when she sees a squirrel outside and runs over me and the sewing machine to get at him. It is kind of funny when she forgets that there is a window between her and the squirrel.
