Wow! wonderful blocks - Isn't it exciting when you lay them out and they create a secondary pattern where they join in the corners? Another simple pleasure of quilting..... I would probably keep mine...

Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in this swap. My sewing room is in the process of moving from one house to another. But I really enjoy seeing all the fine blocks being produced. Just wonderful work. I hope to be able to put together blocks of this caliber someday. And I can't wait to see all these blocks assembled into finished quilts.

Hi Collette, believe it or not, it's from Joanne's, it's a Robert Kaufman. Cute huh?

I've made a change to my block. I switched the black for the white background ~ I like it better. The first block is the new one and the second one is the block previously posted.

they would also look great in a reversible quilt do one set of blocks on the front and the other set on the back.

it would be like photo negatives of each other.

Really dumb question from a newbie quilter...
What color thread are you using for these squares?

I've gotten some of my fabric cut out and want to get started but am not sure what color to use.

Amazing how a difference in where you put the colors can make! They both look good but, the black behind that really kicks the cotton:)Skeat

There is no such thing as a dumb question..ever!:)You can use whatever color of thread that you want. I will prob use white thread on mine as not to show the black thru my white fabric:)Skeat
