I'm a huge fan of double borders. I think I would do a black and then the yellow. The black really sets off the rest of the fabric and the yellow makes it pop.

I think 1 inch red then wide black. Whatever you chose will be gorgeous.

I personally would bring out the silver blue but if cannot be found I would go for the yellow.

I would say use a yellow first and then a red border as these are the traditional firefighters colors and used in the quilt top fabric.

I agree with the idea of a narrow yellow, then wider red (or even black) border. The yellow will make it pop.
