Welcome from central California.

Don't forget extra bobbins, and make sure you get the correct size. I've been sewing a lot of years, and still picked up the wrong size for my older machine!! Check out your manual for the correct size, and then put that manual in your safe deposit box!!! If you're like me, you will put it in a safe place, then never be able to find it again, except perhaps when moving. But they do put some manuals online....

Hello and welcome from NW Wisconsin!

All quilters have different styles, so different needs. It would be great if a quilter would go along with you to a local quilting store or a fabric store, to help you make selections.

I'm with Opal Jane thats your basic needs and also go to the library they have lots of books on quilting, instead of buying they can help with questions, and of course add quilting board to your favorites.
Oh by the way welcome from CT.
Happy quilting welcome to the family.

Just to name a few things you will need, rotary cutter, cutting mat, cutting rulers, seam ripper. You can get good buys at Joann Fabrics, they have sales and coupons.
