Terro works, but you have to give it time. We have big black ants in the kitchen and little black ones in of all places, the bathroom sink. I havekept Terro on the sink for about two weeks, and they were coming in droves and I couldn't keep it on the little cardboard pieces as they ate it so quickly. Today, I noticed there aren'tany there. I hope they have taken it back and killed the colony. If I see the big black ones in the kitchen, I just put some on the cardboard at night and the next morning they are nowhere to be seen. This keeps them away for a week or two and then some more venture out. I have about eliminated them inthe kitchen. I know Terro works, you just have to give it time.

That is really cute. I heard that white chalk will keep them out if you use it around the perimiter of the building. Many shops in SoCal do this, supposedly the ants won't cross over.

That is TOO funny. But, ants are a big problem in FL. And I would have suggested Terro. We have a bug service come a few times a year and they do the inside and outside of the house. We still get ants once in a while, though. We have been battling them for a few weeks now, mostly in the computer room, BUT I think they are gone now. Good luck

hilarious!
sigh...do not know why as I say I don't "DO" bugs but I am the designated ant person at our house too--I buy the Ant Stakes--a cartload of 'em, gals--when they say at every door--I put 1 by the front door--either side; where the front porch meets the side walk, at the garage door, all 4 corners of the patio plus the doors, on and on--I mean to tell ya--I dare an ant to come in my house. If DH says--you are buying too many--I say "if you do it and I see an ant--I'm going to the Sheraton & shopping at...(fancy mall)--call me when they are gone:)" I get as many stakes as I need--no problemo!
