I had the same problem. I use the long table in my studio so that I can have one machine on each side of the table. So, my DH made a sturdy leg that is under the middle of the table. I also use a mat under the machine. Nothing fancy but it works.

A lot of it is the plastic banquet tables.
I use an old place mat that looks like the rubbermaid cabinet liner, works great. when needed one for surger that crawled, I got out the cabinet liner, cut what I needed. no more crawling.
