The plastic table with the real wide lip are not as sturdy as the ones with the thinner lip. They are more sturdy. I use one for my machine & it is also against a wall.

this table is probably between 20-30 years old all wood and metal, the kind that took two men to move....

my sewing machine did the same thing and I had my son in law built another top for my table out of mdf which is very dense and heavy and it made a very big difference. .

I also use the rubber shelf liners for my foot pedal.
If you are using this under the machine, make sure it is positioned correctly. A wood table could be warped.

I had the same problem. I use the long table in my studio so that I can have one machine on each side of the table. So, my DH made a sturdy leg that is under the middle of the table. I also use a mat under the machine. Nothing fancy but it works.

Get a stronger table. That one is to flimsy!

I have a piece of left over carpet under my machine that I use at the cabin and works fine to keep machine stable.

That is what I do too. Works great.

A lot of it is the plastic banquet tables.
I use an old place mat that looks like the rubbermaid cabinet liner, works great. when needed one for surger that crawled, I got out the cabinet liner, cut what I needed. no more crawling.
