No this is not weird. She is very young and obvioused not weaned yet. We got a kitten at 4 1/2 weeks whose mother was hit by a car and he used to do the same thing. She will grow out of it.

My kitty is 5 years old and has not grown out of the snuggleing up under my ear yet though. She is not happy unless she is totally under my hair.

Your furbaby is cute. She sucks becasue she misses her mom and since she considers you her mom, she sucks on you, she'll outgrow it.

I had a cat that did that. He was taken from his mom too soon. He sucked my hair and buttons too. He stopped eventually, and he was so sweet.

It is not uncommon for kittens to do that. Now, Why is another question. Do they think we are Mommy?? I do know my girl kitties were the worse. They are now full grown and love to follow me around to "help" out in any way :-P
They grew out of the habit at about 4 months of age. So hang in there.

So much pleasure in being owned by a cat! My current one doesn't suckle but have had ones that did. Peach kneads and it is wonderful especially if he does it on my back.

Oh, how adorable is she! I think she will outgrow that as well. Maybe you can give her a washcloth with a tad of her milk on it and she will suckle that.

You have all given me great answers. Sucking is comforting to her, so let it be! She came from a litter of 13 and 2 moms. Since she was the runt, I guess she got pushed away too much, so now I give her all the comfort time she wants. She is healthy and happy.

OMG, she looks just like my Lily. I just got her 8 weeks ago. Found her in my front yard by the lilies- hench the name Lily. Mostly I call her Chainsaw now. She has a tendency to rip around biting everything purring up a storm and it sounded like a chain saw. So now her name is Chainsaw Lily.
