You're way ahead of me. I hand quilt, and can machine quilt only when doing staight lines or stitch-in-the ditch. Otherwise they are out the door and someone else's problem! At my age I haven't time to learn--too many things I want to make and will never live long enough to do. So cheers to all the machine quilters--I love you!

Is this a test? I remember those from my school days.

If I had to say anything was “wrong”, I would point out that the stems going from the lower right to the upper left are not in a straight line. Then I would mention that the feathers near the center are different sizes on the right side from the left side. I really don’t think that’s a bad thing though. It’s a very creative way to go around the points of the stars being offset/not symmetrical.

BUT that was only after I read your comments on this thread and went back with the specific intent of finding something, anything that a perfectionist might be unhappy about. This was the test part, I think.

Would you please point out what specifically you are not pleased with.

I agree with everybody that your work is lovely. I also wish my work was as nice.

I've never done FMQ; however, I think you're being too hard on yourself. I think you did a great job. And as the board has said before, it takes practice, practice, practice.

So, what's wrong with it? It would look great on my couch.

I think you did a great job! Keep practicing, you'll get more confidence the more you do. :)

We always see the mistakes in our own work - this looks beautful to me!

Are you doing FM on a domestic machine or a mid or longarm machine? If that was done on a domestic machine hats off to you, I could never do that, however, I'm good with my longarm.
I don't think your work is near as bad as you think it is..

Lea, dear:
If you started out "perfect", where would you go from there? I am a great fan of Charisma, but I bet she would say you are doing great and I say that too. I am one so uncoordinated I can't ride a bike, or skate, or dance..... and I don't machine quilt as I can hardly stitch in the ditch, but, I make tops and hand quilt (not super good) but my quilts are loved and appreciated. I understand your desire to do well, and I applaud your endeavors, but please be patient with your self, and let your 'Ability' grow, and your 'Want-To' will be realized sooner or later. I send you my support of love and blessings. ;) :)
