I made a copy of my girlfriends "Colonial sunbonnet Sue", for her son to give her as a retirement gift. I had 83 hrs into it. Loved every minute of it. I reproduced block for block, all the fabrics. She cryed when she recieved it. She had thought it was distroyed years earlier. I would love to make one for myself. There are several pattern books out there. I like the Colonial SunBonnet Sue block. That is the Lady like Sue, not the doll looking Sue.

As my list of things to do gets increasingly longer, Sun Bonnet Sue is one of those projects I have just not gotten to yet. Bought the book. That was a start. hehe

I have enjoyed everyone's Sunbonnet Sue quilts and quilt blocks sew very much! Great discussion for the fourth of July! She's an all american girl! LOL

I just finished a sunbonnet sue angel baby quilt for a young lady at my church , and I have a full size on that I am working on now.
