Of the 5 walmarts within an hour of me, 3 have had fabric all along. The one nearest me used to, but not any more. Mannager says not coming back. We also have Hancock's. JoAnnes, and Hobby Lobby near us, and at least 4 quilt shops so we are very blessed...

The Wal Mart in Ok has regained? some fabric. Its measured in a 2 yard package and cost is 7 .98 or 99. There is NO way to get some cut like we used to We have a little store in the country about18 miles from us where we can but good fabric at still lower cost, like 2.98 per yd. They do have a lot higher prices but we are offered a place to buy at a price we can afford.

Our Wally World was recently remodelled. and we do indeed still have the fabric department, but the new design has a cutting table that is 4 feet wide! Obviously designed by a man or woman who has never sewed anything. The people who work in that area, now have to use a shopping cart to hold the bolt while measuring fabric lengths! I hate when stupid people get jobs, with power over areas, they know nothing about! Silly Walmart designer!

Good. Sometimes the only reason to walk the miles from the car to the store entrance is to check out the fabric/notions and movies on DVD. You know that hand quilting and watching movies go together, don't you?
