There are so many really good companies, so I go by first, look and then feel.

depends upon what I am looking for at the time - what strikes my fancy I did seem to be drawn recently to Michael Miller and Robert K aufman but it was probably just the project I was working on. . .

I love both Moda and Kauffman fabrics but I certainly don't look for those before choosing for a quilt. I'm drawn to color and feel of fabrics.

I buy 99% of my fabric from connecting threads because I like the quality and the price is great. I pick the colors after I pick the pattern. Then they are ALL with no exception pieced and quilted with Superior Threads because you guys and your thread are AWSOME!! Your service is Superior also.

When I'm ordering online I like to stick to brands that I can depend on (since I can't feel the fabric). I like Moda and Robert Kaufman (Dr Seuss cotton is so, well, silky soft!).

I like the Moda Marbles for blenders as there are so many different colors to choose from... But don't buy one particular line, buy what I like and quality has to be there, not necessarily quilt shop fabric,, I buy from Hobby Lobby a lot and some from our Joann's which has been going through a rough time trying to get organized so the choices aren't that great...

I don't have a favorite brand. I love colors and rarely do I buy a pattern first. I look for my colors first and what person or what occassion I am making it for before I decide on a pattern.

I don't look a the name of the manufacturer; I look at the design and color. I usually have a design and colors planned and look for fabrics that fit it - or I have a fabric that I want other fabrics to blend with.

My blenders are Fairy Frost and mini, tone on tone dots. For the rest, I buy what I like not a particular brand or designer (I think it would be fair to say I like most of them), though I have a lot of Laurel Burch.

I am on a fabric diet right now -- need to use my stash.
