I am in my 80's and learned the computer about 3 years ago. Our library offered classes,Vo-tech.and bank/my best instructer was my young grandson. They know it all. If you don't know the name don't open..virus. I took a class on quilting years ago but it was a sampler and I thought it was way too hard for a beginner. Years latter I did a Jacob's latter and then didn't quilt again for years picked it up again about 3 years ago and love it,now I have arthritis but I do it my way...so hang in there you will learn.

If I can learn anyone can. I can remember a time after moving in with my DD that I called her and said I think I broke the internet. When she got done laughing.....
By the time 6 yrs later when I moved out she and a neighbor were asking me to do things they couldn't do . So have fun, the computer can always be rebooted or restored and with quilting there is always the seam ripper.

Welcome from South Gloucestershire. My father mastered his computer at the age of 87, and scored 100% at his class! So, yes and old dog can certainly learn new tricks - it just takes a bit longer and needs to go slower.

People look at me like I'm crazy when I say it, but I think Quilting and computers are a wonderful mixture. You can learn all new techniques just from browsing on line.

Welcome to both worlds!
