Go to the internet and go to www.singersewingmachine.com } and type in the type and serial number of the machine and you can find the year it was made and can request a manual. I did this for a machine found at a swap meet and had no trouble getting the manual for it.

Really nice machine. I bet you can't wait to use it (if you haven't started already). Why not post the pictures on the thread Vintage Sewing Machine Shop Photos - it will be in good company!

There is a yahoo group for vintagesingers that can help you with anything you want to know about your machine. It looks to be in very good shape, lucky you. My thrift shops only seem to have junk, nothing that I would ever want.

I have an ironing board very much like your "new" one. Mine was my grandmother's.

Wow you hit the jackpot on that. They don't have things like that here.

The cabinet looks beautiful and I think I grew up using a wooden ironing board just like that one. Congrats on your find.

I have a very old wooden ironing board that was my mother's, and maybe even my grandmother's. It is a "Beatty Board". But when I googled it, the only place I saw info. was on an Ontario website, and I live in Ontario, so it might have been a Canadian company. Don't know if that will help or not. C9P
