Am I being to sensitive??

I agree they may not realize the amount of work put into it. If you have the chance to speak with them about the "care" of the quilt, I would do that. If not, drop them a little note explaining you didn't have time at the get together, but you wanted to make sure they knew how to care for the quilt. Then give a quick "wash it in cold water, lay flat to dry, etc..." That should give them an idea of how precious "the blanket" is without being pushy!

This is very cute. I LIKE the blue blocks. The monkey border sure ties it in with their theme. You done a great job, even matched the lining also. Do not let them frazzle you. Anyone would have loved to have your quilt. They just seemed very rude, but not all people are like that. God Bless you for making the gifts.

That was pretty insensitive of them. I also feel like people really don't understand or appreciate the time, skill and love that goes into making them. That's OK though - just find the people that do! Like all the lovely people I've "met" thru this site. :) I absolutely love your quilt - it's precious and adorable.

Oh my gosh! What an adorable quilt!
It is a real show stopper. The unfortunate truth is, (in my
Humble opinion) non quilters just don't GET IT! They don't
Understand the amount of thought, work and love that goes
Into a quilt.
Just maybe the parents to be were overwhelmed by all
The celebration at the shower. Perhaps when things settle
Down a bit they will recognize that quilt for the treasure it is.
Your heart was certainly in the right place.
