Sprinkle salt on the suds to speed up the cleaning/mopping.

I know how you feel. When I was 15 I did some babysitting for this couple who wanted to go on a date. I thought that I would do them a favor and after I put the children to bed I started the dishwasher.Yep you guessed it suds all over the place. Not only did I do the dishes I scrubbed the floors and washed thier throw rugs. They paid me extra for all that I did.LOL It wasn't until later that my brother told me that they make special soap for dishwashers.

I did that once in 1971. I ran out of dishwasher detergent and I just used Tide detergent. My suds were up to the ceiling, and my husband laughed, and laughed some more and then thought he had better help me clean up the mess before I threw something at him. Only did it once, never again. Now I know why they state only dishwaster detergent.
