Hubby taking over my quilting tools!
#61
Yep, I lost a rotary cutter, a small cutting mat and one of my cutting rulers to my DH and his model railroading. On the positive side he's always offering me things he thinks I can use for quilting and whenever he goes to Harbor Freight he brings me rotary blades. He just brought me 25 pounds of crushed walnut shell for making pincushions! LOL!

My DH never admitted it but I am certain he took my cutting mat (had a guilty look and a sheepish grin). After that I turned an old desk into a cutting table and glued a cutting mat on the top...problem solved. LOL

I also use my quilting tools for other projects like cutting that film stuff for our windows. I have also used a lot of my quilting tools when hanging wallpaper, etc. Soooooo that is why I have set aside rotary cutters, sissors, etc. for those projects. Several years ago my DH ( and in this case, the "D" is not for Dear) *******-up my sewing machine which I had just had serviced for sewing school clothes while on a week's vacation. Needless to say he has never touched another sewing machine and that year He bought the school clothes, plus had to take the machine back to the repairman. Husbands are sometime slow learners until there are severe consequences. LOL

Oh, what a subject. My DH got me a tool box with tools in it one year for Christmas. I loved it. Until he started to borrow it. Now his tools are "somewhere" and so are mine. He does not bother my sewing/quilting tools. As a matter of fact, he does not go into my sewing room uless he has no choice.
I will admit that we used an old rotary cutter, ruler and mat to cut peel & stick tiles. It worked much better than his way and got done alot quicker and with less 4 letter words.

Oh, I know how you feel! My hubby is a stamp collector and does some exhibiting! Mounting is very precise and difficult. So, he comes in my quilt room and now he has an Ott Lite, a med. size mat and add a quarter inch ruler. Of course he has replace ny stuff with new, so it is a good thing!
