I love them and I use them all the time. You just have to remember you have them. So I keep it very handy on my cutting area. kjym Kathy

We used it to mark blocks for HSTs for a quilt our guild is making. That way anyone could mark and anyone could sew and it was consistent. No worry about different sized 1/4 inch seams .

I have a set of two different sizes.
They have come in handy as a super easy way to add 1/4" seam allowance on patterns.
I haven't needed to use them for HSTs yet...

I want a ruler, clear, 1/2 inch wide and 12 inches long. Then I just have to lay it down so the middle goes from corner to corner, then draw the seam lines on either side. Has anyone seen such a ruler?

I agree, It is hard to keep in one place--mine slips around a lot.

What kind of ruler is this? It sounds like something I should own.

I have a Creative Grid that is 1" x 12". It has 1/4 inch marks all across the width so it would be nice to mark with.
The set we were discussing first that I got does do that. It has a middle mark all the way down it and is 1/4 " on each side of it. You just line up the center mark and draw down each side.

I used it lots - - when I knew where it was . . . Since I've moved, I haven't been able to locate it, so do without, and hope to find it again, as I do miss using it.
