Yes, I live in Tomball, Texas and Walmart here is also preparing to return fabric department. I have read that Walmart lost money not having the fabric department.

We were just at our Walmart yesterday. They had the same an aisle, but, they moved it to the corner of the store. It looks like they have a few more bolts, mainly infant and children type fabric and what looks to be some Halloween fabric. I asked if this meant we were getting close to what we had before, and they said the management allotted so much space to fabric, and this is about what we are to expect. It is a little bit better..they put threads and needles back. The back wall is all yarn. There are a few sewing machines. I suppose it's good for parents making school clothes. Better then nothing. I will however just do what I have been doing.

I hope all this is true in KY because just about every store close to me will discontinue their fabric line in either 2012 or 2013.

Getting the fabric back in our Walmart in Ellijay, Ga and also in the newer Walmart in Jasper, GA. They had all their pre-cuts on clearance in both stores and they were going fast.

Mercy! I took some fat quarters of both Wal Mart and LQS fabric to a group once and nine out of ten people couldn't tell which was which. One of my prize winning quilts was sashed with Wal Mart fabric. I guess the judges couldn't tell! froggyintexas

The Wal-Mart in Macomb, MI is getting fabric. They never had it, and now they are adding it. Possibly that is the reason the Chesterfield Twp, MI store won;'t be having fabric.
