Handquilting in the car

I do. It's usually applique or redwork. I've even named one of my quilts "On the road to Denver and back" because that was the only time I worked on it. Another I called "In school suspension" because I had to sit with a student who was in trouble and was told I was not to visit with that student and to bring anything I wanted to work on or read.
(Just to let you know, I did do a little visiting with the student before school got out. Sometimes they need counseling.)

A friend that gets terribly car sick can knit while riding in the front seat.
I'm very lucky. I can read, knit and crochet while riding. I've tried hand sewing but it's a little too bumpy to make nice stitches.
