Palencia fabric now carried by Wal Mart is made by Springs Creative and are out of SC I believe. The Palencia fabric is a broadcloth which is about 65%poly which means it won't wrinkle. On the up side it's affordable. Think JoAnn Fabrics, Hancock, Hobby Lobby also carry it./lomac

I have been afraid to use in quilting as it is not 100% cotton, but I did purchase some recently to use for bodice/yolks of some summer dresses. Several came out of the wash very wrinkled, reminded me of the old days 100% cotton texture. Another looked like a linen and came out beautiful, yet all came from the same Palencia brand from Walmart. You never know what you are going to get at Walmart, bought some $2 prints marked 100% cotton and they came out just as nice as Joann's fabric and was very pleased with some $1.50 fabric marked undetermined content. Too silky for quilting but great for clothing!
