I've had my id for everything for almost 11 years. It's the first initial of my first name, my husband's last name, and the 2 digit month and year we were married, December, 2000.

My ID is my chat nickname. I love the color purple and so I'm purplefiend, the name was given to me by a dear friend.

Scrappy comes from my love of scrapbooking, scrap quilts and recycling crafts from bits and pieces. Louisa comes from the spanish version of my middle name....Louise.

My ID comes from two of my cats, Patches and Posy, who are now gone. They were named for my love of patchwork and my love of flowers.

Well, I have always been a competitive swimmer...since I was nine. Now I swim in local Masters meets, etc. And I am much older now...Hence the OLD swimmer part.

Several years ago I "invented" a technique using free motion stitching on water soluble stabilizer to create jewelry, purses and sculptural pieces. This was a progression from many other forms of fiber art that started with an love of weaving when I was a teenager. I've progressed from all the needlearts (started knitting at age 6) through Seminole patchwork and quilting to my "Sculpted Threads" technique where most of my creativity is centered now. Of course I buy a lot of machine embroidery thread and particularly when it's on sale and so I'm known as the "Thread Lady".
