Hey haven't heard from you. I think your name goes with you. I even like to say it.

My maiden name was "Dee" and when people asked my last name they used to always respond "d what"?
Then I got married in '55 and became a "Groce". I don't need to tell you the comments I've received since that expression became popular!!
Grocifer was a nickname given to my youngest son by his friends and I thought it was the perfect touch...........
I'm going to read five pages of this post a day before I get through them all!!

It has taken a while to read all of these, but I read each one. Thank you to everyone. Even if you feel like yours is plain, boring or great.......They are like all of our hand writing, Each is different and unique and that makes each one of us special. I am stopping on p. 24.

I can't begin to tell you how touching each of your stories is to me. Thank you so much for participating in this thread. It really is so heart warming. Gigi10, I also want to thank you for adding so much to it. I think that sometimes people post to a thread but don't know if anyone is reading or paying attention. You've let them know that we are.

I was named "Rock Lady" by a person working in a store that sold my rocks I paint to look like animals. When I took some into her store to be put on display, she would say, "Here comes the Rock Lady" and it just stuck.

Loved reading about your mom. Mine is simple - I live in New Jersey, so I'm a Jersey Gal.
