I do not care for yellow but in your quilt it is beautiful. Keep as is and it will be the perfect gift.

I just finished a quilt top like yours today, no sashing but the same type of blocks. I really like your quilt top, its NOT ugly.

I would add a fun border that is 2/3 the width of one block. Make it a zinger and it will take the eye away from the yellow. I wouldn't re-do. Make it fun......maybe a fun stripe (colorful dark)

the stripe going into the quilt and not the long way or it will look twisted.
it's not ugly, it's unique. one of a kind.
