The small shop carries mostly sewing machines, with a limited selection of fabric.

Other than that, it's a 2-hour or slightly longer (one-way) trip to shops in Dallas and one in Paris.
WalMart is bringing back it's fabric. Contact the manager to show your interest.

I buy primarily from my LQS. They offer only high-quality quilting fabric. I pay more, but I don't mind since I am spending a lot of time and energy making a quilt.

I have bought lots of fabric off e-bay, mainly FQ bundles and Jelly Rolls. Also at the misourri star quilt company (love their daily deal). I like connecting threads for thread and fabric, and for patterns I like cozy quilt.com and jojos quilt shop. Also like fat quarter shop.com, but they are a little pricey.

I do have a Joann Fabrics near me and buy when fabric is on sale but even their sale prices are getting expensive.

I like to look at the Connecting Threads fabrics, in their clearance section. Not all of their fabrics appeal to me but some do, especially the batiks and the prices can't be beat. Even if the fabrics don't appeal to me for the top of a quilt, I'll use any of the clearance fabrics for quilt backs.

We are also very fortunate in our area. I have five local quilt shops, Wal-mart, Joann's, and Hobby Lobby all within 30 minutes of home, so I shop at all of them!

I go to the quilting shops sometime but they are expensive. I also go to Joanne's, Wal Mart near me that has it the closest one still hasn't gotten it in. I also order on line. Sometimes I like to go and feel it and actually see it for the color. Sometimes I think it is cheaper online. Sue

The closest quilt shop to me is about 25 miles, so most of the time I shop on line. Saves money on gas too.
