After reading this post yesterday, I decided I too needed new, thinner pins. After much research (and having to ask my ex-husband about the mil thickness) I found and ordered Clover long, thin pins from a seller on ebay that were much, much cheaper then Amazon. I can't wait till they get here. I do sew over pins, so I like them sharp and thin so I won't break too many needles.

Tuesday Morning has some Fons and Porter in the stores this week. You might check. I have gotten little tins of various sorts of pins greatly reduced. They also have good pins like that at Jo Anns, Hancock (great to have coupon, but quilting stuff is 30% off this week anyway) and LQS. Some have flat heads, some have yellow round heads... but you are right, they are wonderful.
