I love Pinmoors. They work. Forget about using substitutes, get the real Pinmoors.

That's the problem, when you google quilt pins you come up with a zillion hits. Need a brand name to narrow it down! ;-)

They are not Fons & Porter as my cousin thought.
Try to google "extra long, glass head pins".

Don't know about these pins, but, if having trouble with the pins being hard to use, just run it through your hair. The natual oils will make them slide right in.

After reading this post yesterday, I decided I too needed new, thinner pins. After much research (and having to ask my ex-husband about the mil thickness) I found and ordered Clover long, thin pins from a seller on ebay that were much, much cheaper then Amazon. I can't wait till they get here. I do sew over pins, so I like them sharp and thin so I won't break too many needles.

Tuesday Morning has some Fons and Porter in the stores this week. You might check. I have gotten little tins of various sorts of pins greatly reduced. They also have good pins like that at Jo Anns, Hancock (great to have coupon, but quilting stuff is 30% off this week anyway) and LQS. Some have flat heads, some have yellow round heads... but you are right, they are wonderful.

I like them and use them all the time. You can find them in any quilt fabric store or in one of the big catalogs.

I like Bohin Pins they are strong and sharp. You can get pins that are 1 7/8 inch.
