I love my GO. They say you can make any 12" pieced block if you have the dies A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H.

No Denim is not too thick, but you probably don't want to cut more than 2 layers at a time.

I only have the 1 1/2", 2" and 2 1/2" strip, but use them alot....seems there isn't a pattern around that doesn't use one of those sizes. I'm thinkng on getting the 3 1/2" next. Have fun with it - really love mine :)

I just purchased the Accugo cutter and plan to expand on dies when they are on sale. Yes, I do enjoy my cutter but dies are expensive.

I buy them as I need them; the Accuquilt really got me to making more quilts than I normally would have. It's great.

Buying an Accu Go is like buying a Harley...I know, I own both. It is just the beginning....if you love your accu go you will become a collector of dies...I am surprised they don't just give the accu go away because buying dies becomes an obsession! Same with the Harley....the accessorizing is more expensive than the bike itself. My advice is to try to buy what you are going to use presently...and check out Ebay, there are some good buys on Ebay....don't ever pay full price...trust me, I have made that mistake. Have fun with it, it is a blast! Michelle

Very interesting thread indeed as I'm dreaming of getting an Accu go someday too. My question is: the large one vs the baby -- does anyone that bought the "baby" wish now they'd have bought the large one instead?

As far as I know, the custom die service is available only for the Studio. I've had dozens of custom dies made.
Accucut recently put up a new website for custom dies:
    http://www.customshapepros.com/
Sign up for their mailing list. They sometime run specials.

I have had my go-cutter for a while and find that I need extra cutting mats more than extra dies. It helps me a lot with cutting even though some cutting can be done with the rotary cutter almost as easily. Enjoy it.
