I haven't read through the posts... you may know this by now.

The quilt is so feminine and pretty...makes you wonder what the back story is.

What a treasure! Definitely hand stitched, and possibly fabrics from the 40's. There may be feed sack fabric from who know when, but some of the fabrics look like some 40's fabric I have seen.

Definitely some vintage material but feed sacks as well. I was going to post more pictures but it wouldn't let me update without making a new thread.

Another gal on the board found it. It is a 1930 pattern called "Daisy Block"

I went and got the machine. However it is an H not an M (dirt was embedded) The machine has that Spinx gold decal (not sure what you call it) on it. I paid 75 bucks for it. She gave me a arm full of hankies and other things. I will keep it all and when I move into my new house, will display the quilt/machine in some way in my sewing room.

I see half of a dresden plate pattern with a stem. Anyone else see it?

You got a great deal and will obviously treasure the quilt more than the grand daughter did. I've never seen that particular pattern and think it is very nice. Someone obviously put a lot of time and love into making it. Looks like it is in great condition.
