I am 86, been sewing since age 8, both hand and treadle machine, hand quilliting, off and of for many years, computing on personal computers since 1983. Machine embroidery since mid-seventies, and machine quilting for about the last 4 years.

Just turned 75. On the computer too much, and started making small quilted items. Also, work 15-20 hrs week at fabric store.

I'm glad to hear that all of you "young" ladies (haven't seen a fella post) are doing sooo well. I can only hope that i'll be flying around still living life to the fullest. Mom (64 this year) is taking care of Dad (85 this year) heart valve he's too afraid to have fixed. So I'm working on a trip to Hallibut fish (mom's dream trip. We both love to fish and be outdoors. ) an appropriate time after he passes. We'll have alot to take care of for a little while. Mom can't stay in that huge house with way too much yard to take care.

You go girl.....I think that's wonderful that you are keeping you mind active. My mother has no interest in any hobbies, she said she did that before, all she wants to do is get out on the road. However, my mother-in-law is just the opposite, she keeps me going ! I'll never live long enough to get all my fabric sewn and to test all the recipes I have printed off of the internet. By the way I'm 64 years of age, not that far off.

I`m 72, using the P.C. about 10 yrs. made quilts for 40 yrs with out patterns. Just pieced straight lines & squares.
would give any thing to make at least one beautiful quilt that I could be proud of. Am starting my first quilting class this fall.

I'm 77 and do both. Not skilled at either, but enjoy both. I get most of my quilting patterns from pictures on this board, but only do rectangles & triangles.

Golly, Gee Whiz, I didn't know it was anything to get excited about. I am 84, and have several friends who also both use a computer and quilt. I expect to keep right on doing both for a long time to come.
