I know what you mean..love the man to death..as long as he stays in his space and out of mine..lol
 I doubt I would have married him if he liked the same things I do in my me time.

That's great....the husband wanting to sew and getting another machine! My husband asked me to show him how to crochet and he was a quick learner! He crocheted a poncho and did a beautiful job - I will keep it forever and love showing it to people and telling them he made it. Now I am trying to get an idea on a quilt block for a contest and he won't surprise me if he does one too!

Teach him. Be patient. for him to allow you to teach him is a big step. I have sewn for more then 30 years, until we began refurbishing sewing machines my husband had little interest. He now knows machines, techniques and terminology with the best of them. It was and is a big step for both of us. we have become dependant on each other for our various skills. It also will be good for him to see what you really are gifted at- it doesn't happen over night.

I agree.. The Singer oldies are nice machine, and it's sort of the kind of machine a guy might rlate to better than the modern ones.. No... I would not like to share my machine with anyone. Barri

You go girl and get that new machine. It's a trade off for all of the lessons he will be needing.
