awww...I will tell you now:
When I told my DD about my "new" colors, bc you may remember, I started with a blue batik background, which I decided to save for another project.
Well, as I named off the colors, sitting at her dining table, while she cooked,...she walked over and took her vase of flowers from the center of the table and said, "Like this?"
We both laughed!
I told her she just had to help me come up with a new name for this quilt and she did: Harvest of Hearts.
I love that! :XD:

I'm trying. I thought #10 would be nice next to #9 and when I got it finished, I laughed.
I had used shades of orange-reds in both, so I will be spacing them out a bit.

mmm, mozzarella? or sharp cheddar? colby, no swiss...ahhh! so many choices.
I know,...cream cheese. it goes with everything ;) thanks, Elle :D
Go for the cream cheese - it can turn any dish into a gourmet feast! Besides, can't make cheesecake without it! Ricotta isn't the same, at all!!!

Actually, I looked again and I think the flowers and hearts are close on both, but the background is not as yellow green as the "before" picture, and not quite as dark as the "now", but closer to that.
Somehow it got a yellowy look in the before.
You'll soon see ;) ...nope, no new changes in background!
oh, and thank you and so sorry your horse is limping, lol

Ok, so here is what I did for my first block. I did glued on the freezer paper and machine appliqued. It takes a little longer than my raw edge applique but it was well worth it. I used water soluable stablizer on the top and I even did my embroidery on top of it. Allowed me to mark my embroidery without marking the black fabric.

This is still wet from soaking the stablilzer off so the black around the yellow should be gone when it dries.
