No but I have had some close calls for sure. One of the employees of our local quilt shop did cut her hand quite severely and had a huge bandage on it for a very long time. Makes me cringe just to think about it.

No I haven't but a women in my quilt group did and it was messy. She tried to grab the rotary cutter as it was falling off the table and cut her hand. One of the women in the group took her to the emergency room where she had to have stitches. I know it is instinct to grab things as they fall but I hope I will let it hit the floor if this happens to me.

they have stickey tape on them and you put them where you want them on the ruler. they have them at Keepsakes quilting. don't know where i got mine they come 22 inches long. so the rotary cutter won't jump the ruler and cut your fingers or hand. i have to be careful as i have had joint replacement in both hands.

Glad you didn't get hurt. Yes, I really cut my pointer finger on my left hand. Probably should have gotten stitches but took care of it myself. Was there the blood.

Still have a large scar on my left index finger.

My friend cut her cat with the rotary cutter. She said she was winding up to cut a strip and her cat was behind her. (Winding up?) We only let her do the sewing on charity quilt days.

After cutting myself several times, I threw away the cutter, and now just use the rulers and mark with pencil and cut out by hand with scissors. I apparently have bad ADD and just can't pay attention enough so that I don't cut myself. I also regularly cut the wrong sizes, and with pencil I can fix that before I cut them out.

No, thank God, but just the other night it fell between my feet.

Yep, happened to me earlier this year. Cut my left index finger about 1/4" in all the way from knuckle through my fingernail. I didn't go to hospital and put a healing salve on it and closed it up but later that night hubby made me go to Urgent Care "just in case." They butterflied it. I had that sucker off a day later and was back to quilting, WITH A GLOVE. I am now super slow and careful. :)
