That reminds me of a kitchen magnet my daughter bought for me this past Mother's Day. It has a woman dressed in 50's style clothes sitting on a dainty couch and the quote is, "Who says children need to eat every day?" I love it!

Speaking of kitchen magnets, I have a sewing room magnet that says, "I never make the same mistake twice ... it's more like three or four times."

Two things I learned yesterday:
1. Just because it's in my stash doesn't mean it's 100% cotton.
2. If it's not 100% cotton, a hot iron can create fascinating textures and shapes, which may not work well with your pattern.

Take pictures of all projects so years later when someone says my son or daughter just loves the quilt you made you can look back and see what they love so much instead of oh I made them a quilt

Number 10 really stands out for me. I get upset if I am interrupted, have to stop or leave to meet someone. When I am hand quilting, nothing gets done until the quilt is finished. I cook before I start quilting and after that is gone, just snack on what I can find in the refrigerator and when the refrigerator is empty, I start going out to eat just one meal. I do keep staples on hand for breakfast, so that just leaves one other meal. Laughing at myself here.

When you want to whip up the simple steps of a small projects to take to the "show and tell" that evening, is when you machine will decide to slip into prima donna mode.

ROFL..... :XD: :XD: :XD: :XD:

TOOOOO FUNNY !!!!

"When you want to whip up the simple steps of a small projects to take to the "show and tell" that evening, is when you machine will decide to slip into prima donna mode. "

"WHO says children need to eat every day?...... "

" There are days that are good for piecing, days for FMQ, and days for cutting - figure out which one today is !! "

"My machine hates me some days; I have no idea what I ever did to it. "

"It's easier to erase the mistake on the graft paper than to rip the quilt."

" Ever cut it twice and it is still incorrect? "

" No matter how many times you do that seam, it's still going to end up too short. "

"Gotta luv #10 housework-what housework?? "

" make sure your ruler is not upside down, or 21 becomes 12..."

" "I never make the same mistake twice ... it's more like three or four times. "

" If it's not 100% cotton, a hot iron can create fascinating textures and shapes, which may not work well with your pattern. "
