My escape artist, Rudy (see avatar), managed to get out of his harness almost immediately! It's amazing how limber they can be, especially when it's to their advantage. :-)

The cat walking jackets are made by cat people for cats that are the best excape artist. They are like jackets with velcro closures and a cat can flip around on them at the end of a leash and not get loose. really handy--I used them when I was showing cats and we had to take the cats out of carriers at the airports. That was more fun than you can immagine.(not!) in a noisey airport.

Petsmart also carries a cat harness. A little expensive, but worth it.

I have a cat harness, purchased from PetSmart many years ago. It's in a figure 8. A cat needs something alittle different from what you would use on a dog.

We were searching for a harness for my daughter's mini dachshund and could find on that fit him so we looked in the cat harness area. Then we found one that fit him. He only weighs 7 lbsso any thing for a small dog is too big on him.
