Soooo pretty!! Sooo colorful! Great work! I've never tried the applique. Afraid it would fray after washing...

You did a beautiful job!!
RE: quilting--you do not mention how big the squares are or how much "love/wear and tear" your quilt will receive, but I would at least echo around each dragonfly and flower. If your appliques are quite large, you may want to make some sort of stitching inside as well. You could make a sort of free form cloud in the open spaces of the back ground. What about a wavy line in the border?

That's so pretty - I love your colors. And your stitches are so small and accurate!

Pretty quilt - great machine applique! I, too, like the idea of SID around each block and then an echo or two around each butterfly/dragonfly and the flowers, vines, leaves.

Thank you for all the help and compliments! The blocks are 8" squares and the border is about 4". I did the blanket stitch on the machine. After doing so many, you get to the point that they look pretty good! LOL Most of the time I just saw it as therapy....calming and relaxing. I like many of the ideas for the quilting. Just have to decide for sure and dig into it.

This was a customer order from a grandmother who orders quilts for each new great grandbaby being born. I didn't know what part of the family might see this board so I covered the name.

Either way, it's beautiful!
DD has a dragonfly tatoo. I agree with her, that is definitely a butterfly and a very gorgeous quilt to boot!
Tell family: score 1 for you, lol :XD:
