The only one that I called a name was my old serger and I called her The Bitch. I gave her away. The others behave and haven't earned a name yet.

Never really thought of naming them either but when asked on this board before the only thing that came to mind for my featherweight was "Little Sweet". That came from a colt born on our farm a few years ago, she was so little and cute that little sweet fit her.

My Janome Horizon is Naomi (Naomi Janome - it rhymes!) and my Crown Jewel longarm is Bijoux (which means "jewel" in French) My 21 year old son named my old Janome "Janelle". He is learning how to quilt on Janelle.

I only have one. A singer that was my mothers. I got when she passed about 1 1/2 years ago. It's only been in the last couple of months I have a started feeling like it is "mine" instead of "hers". I will see what comes to me as an appropriate name. I don't have any ideas at the moment.

Singer 1951 301a is Miss Ida after my maternal grandmother
Singer 1909 66-1 in treadle is Harriet (she told me her name after I got her a treadle to sit in - she was so pleased with it!)
Singer 1957 221 FW is now Sabrina, after my grandaughter, who asked me to name her that..so I did.
Elna Supermatic is Kitten...should be Paddy or Maeve because of her lovely green color!
Singer 1928 99K is as yet unnamed...I've only had her out of her case 1 time...I am waiting to get her handcrank on at the TOGA next week, and then I think she'll tell me her name.
Western Electric 1917 is Katherine Hepburn as she needed an elegant name to go with her elegant art deco decals & lines! Also my favorite actress of all time! I haven't sewed with her yet, as her wires are really bad.

I love naming my sewing companions!! They do have their own personalities after all!! :-)
