Can the cockatoos be pets? I love holding any bird. My budgie (most people here do't even know what that is) when a baby, would just snuggle down in my hand.

That is amazing video, never seen that many hummers at one time. I have never seen them perch on anything, always flying and hovering. I love them, they are so tiny and dainty. Thanks for sharing

We live in SE Iowa. When we first started putting a feeder out we had about 4 - 6 birds.
We just kept getting more & more every year. Now we estimate we have approximately 100+ hummingbirds.
The interesting thing is that our son lives right across the road and he puts out feeders also.
He says he only has 4 birds!!

WOW! We occasionally see a few hummers in our yard so have put out a feeder for them. Have yet to see one at the feeder. How do you entice them to go to it? I live in Michigan.

We just hung the feeders and they came in. If the weather is hot you'll need to change the water about every other day.
We don't use red food coloring, we read that it was harmful to them.
Sometimes we don't even color the water, it doesn't have to be; mostly we do it do we can see easily when the water is getting low.
And of course, looks better in pictures, :) Once you get them feeding they will return next year.
We know when they're back in the spring because they come up and hover in front of our kitchen window. They are so funny!
