Please keep us posted on your progress....with pictures included. And if you run into a problem, don't stop and put it aside, just post it here (with a picture) and we'll all help. PS----my first dog was a Collie. Aren't they wonderful?

My friend (who is an experienced quilter) helped me create the pattern by looking at the picture. Then I cut it out in paper to make sure it all fit. Then cut some scrap fabric and sewed them together to make extra sure.
Since then, I found out the pattern is available in a book by Pat
Sloan. I ordered the book. For one thing, it looked like a good book with lots of interesting patterns. But also, since I am using her design, I thought it was only right to buy her book. I don't think she intended for it to be a "free" pattern.
What is the name of the book?
