Black featherweights- Petunia, Lulu, Amanda and Annabelle
White featherweight-(not named, got it for my BD in Aug )
singer 99(I think)- never named ($5.00)
    Singer 185J-Maggie($10.00)
    Singer 603-Nadine(after my mom-her machine)

    Longarm-Lizziegirl

    Elna Jubilee-never named

Yes, I am crazy and I do love the old machines. Long story on how I ended up with all these machines...yes, I need to sell 2 of the black featherweights. When you name those old machines, you really become attached. I am giving Maggie to my sister. Two I bought for $5 & $10 and when my friend passed away, her husband gave me AnnaBelle.

My singer treadle is Jenny, for Jenny Lind the famous singer.
My old Kenmore is Lil' Bit, 'cause its small and my new Brother is George. It's a brother, has to have a boys name.

My Janome does not have a name unless it is eating my fabric or making a huge thread mess then it is called a piece of "S#@T"! I still love it though!

I never named my machines till I got my Gammill. I had a time getting the tension set just right for me. When we finally 'made friends', I named her Lucy (after 'righty tighty, lefty loosy'). Only other machine that has a name is one of my Featherweights I call 'Agnes'. I used to have my kids yell that at me in a big crowd. They could not get my attention yelling MOM! But I would turn and look at them if they called me Agnes. My real name is Beth!

Well, I'm still waiting for my FW I got on E-Bay to come. Her name will be "Maggie May". Maggie, a nickename my Mom had and Maggie May is my favorite Rod Stewart song. Never did name my old Kenmore or my Viking, also my old theadle. Maybe I should think of names for them. I "used" to name my cars. The last one I named was my Toyota Previa...It was the Mother Ship. LOL

I also never thought of naming my sewing/embroidery (Janome) machine. We always name our cars--now I guess I will have to call my Janome--JODI-GIRL--after my friend Jodi who got me into machine embroidery. Also, Jodi and my DH arranged to get me my Janome--best gift ever.
Have a old Kenmore sewing machine and a surger--guess I will have to name them also so that they don't feel left out...
