Please try the exercises that have you laying on the bed and turning. I dealt with vertigo for 5 months before someone told me about that. The chiropractor did help me too but it was only temporary and acupuncture is another treatment that has helped others as well. Good luck.

Hi, sorry to hear about your BPV. It's awful when you have an attack. I have had it for 24 years and I just keep taking the meds and lie down when I have a bad attack.

I have it also getting out of bed and walking around take a little time but it improves. Also getting enough rest helps it a lot. I have had it for 3 years off and off. Again just don't get overtired. Hugs

I have this too and think it is an inner ear infection, but not bad enough doctors can tell. When I am going upstairs I feel like I am going to pitch backwards. Let me know if you find a cure. Mine comes and goes.

Oh yes, I have for about a month. Start with an ENT doctor. Mine sent me to a special PT place that dealt with balance. Made a big difference. I know it's no fun, and yes, it's going to take time, the crystals in your ear have to return to the correct place in your inner ear. Bummer!
Hope it corrects itself soon! Move slower till then and be careful. Did they give you any excises to do? If not go back and ask.

I've had it so badly also. Had the Epley Manuever done by a "Head and Neck" doc at kaiser...took some time, but finally went away. Sometimes I still get it, but not as badly. When I do, I'm still & take a Meclazine for the nausea. Good luck. I know it's horrible.

I get this, not fun. I have a physical therapist who really helped me by showing me manuevers that really help. go to google and type in your vertigo wording and it will show you just what moves you need to do. I have had it for so long and in all the canals that the clinic filmed my eyes movements for training purposes. Once you learn the right technics for you, you can help yourself just by the exercises that you will see at the site.

Good Luck
