Welcome John. I'm a 71 year old fellow enjoying it here. You and I are a good age. What could be more fun than just doing what we want to do. The people here are great with a lot of good help and ideas. My main thing right now is hand quilting. And, it's fine to be the minority. The women treat us very nice, with a few lame "man jokes" once in a while. It's good fun, and I've certainly learned a lot.

Hi John! I' married to Jon! I love quilting too! Keep having to interrupt my quilting to do the very things that you described in your intro! I am 59, still working as a hairdresser, in an extremely busy( most of the time) salon. I craft too, make beaded jewelry and the like. Am in the midst of two UFO projects just now, one a double wedding ring quilt for my nephew, with pink and blue cammo fabrics as the focal point, and a cathedral window quilt for my husband made from his Dad's neckties ( he went to heaven nearly two years ago), and I thought it a fitting tribute, he was an awesome person!
In fact Jon and I both lost our Dads within a year and a half of one another. (just realized that!) sorry for the rambling! Your wife is a very lucky lady to have someone to do the sewing! Is she a quilter also? What are her interests? Hope to hear from you! MJ
