i feel so bad- i went to the p.o. to send my doll quilt to immemother. $40+. i couldn't do it. they could get it there in less than a month for 20+. i took the box home and took out all the little goodies that i had tucked in. the little quilt will have to make it's long transoceanic voyage all alone. i was, and i guess, still am, in shock over the price. kirsty, i'm sorry i couldn't send you extras, but when you come to visit i will make it up to you!

Drum roll ladies and gentlemen, please, for the superb work done by Linda (Sew extreme.) Here are both sides of her lovely doll quilt. I'm still trying to work out which side I like more. The cute little needle book will be perfect for my quilting needles and I'm glad it didn't break the postage bank either (have just read the earlier post about having to remove 'extras' as the postage cost got silly. Such a shame but I hope there are other benefits to having an international partner. Linda and I have certainly enjoyed swapping stories.)
Thanks so much Linda - you've been a fantastic partner.

mosaic-- i hope you didn't read my sticker shock as my not liking trading with kirsty! she's lovely, and if the only way to get the quilt to her was to pay the $40 i would. but she would like to come visit and i'd much rather spend the money taking her to a broadway show. the extras were little silly things which are fun, but don't add up to much(except in postage)8). i would be happy to swap internationally again in a heartbeat!
