30 bucks to ship my September Swap package.

OK I thought I was pretty smart but guess not. (My secret pal is an international person. Thought it would be fun to get someone out of country.) So I took my September swap package to the post office to ship and the first price the lady gave me was 45.50. .I about fainted..then she said well if you can take out 3 oz then we can ship for 31.50...ummm 3 ounces you have to be kidding me. Guess I learned the hard way. It's only a few bucks cheaper from the states to ship to Canada and I guess my ignorance figured it would only be a few more dollars to ****** but not amost twice the cost..So beware if your as mailing dumb as me! Guess next swap I won't be international...

Oh I know, believe me. When I send stuff to my mom in Germany for her birthday or Christmas it is outrageous what it cost. Most of the time it cost more to ship than the value of the item in the box. Just crazy!!!!
