Does the Montgomery Ward Machine look like this one? I don't know the year - there's no date in the book. I ended up with a manual and these parts (I believe they are from the famous machine that went through Miriam's window):
No, it was blue and more modern looking. The color is what caught my eye.

Hi, check the electrical. It might be old enough to still be good. The old cloth seems to hold up better than the 1940's or 50's rubber.

I stopped into my favorite little recycled craft shop and got 8 bobbins for my White FR for 50 cents and this cool tool for $2.50. Can't wait to use it now that I got some directions!

I think it weighs 31 lbs but it is made of aluminum. It is old enough to be a good solid machine if it is all there.

Hi Everyone, It's been awhile since I've been on this thread and I just wanted to show you my newest acquisition.
She was born on July 26, 1951 and has the blue centennial badge. She is a Singer 128 with the godzilla finish and I believe she is all black (I think so)....I can't figure out how the shuttle goes in or how the thread is set up in it and I could use some help on this. Here's some photos. Anne
