no names are boring. :) if you, like me, used your real name, then our blocks can depict who we are - through fabric and design. someone posted that star blocks are her favorite -- then a star block would be a perfect pattern for a block to represent her name and who she is. I'm thinking about a block with the word "Joy" on it -- the first letter of my name -- and a very important word to me in my faith. Or -- I might do a block that communicates "joy" rather than spelling it.
This the creative part!!!!

let's decide on a block size for those who are considering a swap.

Glad you got it going. My username is what I had on my motorcycle license tag representing that I am a happy lady. Sooooo, I guess mine would have to represent something happy and free. uhm! let me think!

I don't know if I'd be up for a swap, but my name is the day I got married! Lovely barefoot wedding on Grand Cayman Island. Then got back to NJ in a snowstorm!

I suppose mine would have to be a crazy block, lol or a trapunto house block (padded room).

Hmmm, You could be more creative with 12" but if they were put into quilts 9"s would make for a more interesting quilt.
I guess I'm leaning toward the 12." What does everyone else think?

Wedding bells w/sun & snow? You'll come up with something!

Lets talk!
I'd have to go with ANNIE'S CHOICE. I love that block.
