I saw a pattern in Liberated Quilt Making by Gwen Marston that seems similar. Some of the other star patterns have all the star points wonky but all the same but hers are all made free style with no pattern which seems like your quilt.

I think it is a wonky star 9 patch..you'd have to plan the colors so the 4 corners will match then connect and make the next star...crafty_linda_b
