I have shopped from probably 15-20 shops online, and have never had a problem. I use shops that are associated with the fabshophop - figure if they're a part of something bigger, they are probably ones that can be trusted. So far, so good!!

If you are looking for current fabrics hands downfor me its Favorite Fabrics.... great selection , wonderful staff , and reasonable prices for current fabrics.
If you don't mind fabrics that have been around a bit.. its Thousands of Bolts... they do stock a few current such as the entire line of Stonehendge and most of the Hoffman Watercolor Batiks. They have a very large selection of quilt backings. Do use the find a fabric feature as they really do have thousands of bolts.

AAA quilters supply great backs, and fabric, resonably priced. She has a charge for shipping, and if she can ship it cheaper she refunds excess

Fabric.com, I love them, love them, love them. One of the best places to shop on the net

The only online place I've ordered from is fabric.com. I had a great experience. The fabric came quickly and I was very happy with the quality. They also cut 37" yards. That is great for shrinkage. I was very pleased.
