Creative Chris, no - still on the drawing board.

However, I've been cutting paper layout pieces tonight for the 16 piece fussy cut. Got to get that right!

Mal -

To check value in my designs, I frequently convert photos to black and white. With the color out of the way, I can more easily see if my quilt in progress (or computer design) needs more lights, mediums or darks. Or maybe some part needs to be lighter or darker.

I really like your design just the way it is!

KarenK - thank you!

You went to a lot of trouble to do this tonal values illustration.

Do you approve of my revision?

Of course, I approve of your revision! :D  :D LOL

We all make adjustments to our projects as we work through them. With your background in sewing, crafting, photography and computing, you are bringing a very strong base of skills into quilting. Trust yourself!

KarenK, thank you so much - hugs

BTW love those flying geese! A project I'm eager to tackle. Ordered a special ruler from Eleanor Burns. It's somewhere between the States and Australia at the moment.

It looks quite purty to me :-P

I love the designing part almost as much as the making. You have a great start.
